WeChat Support
ChatIQ supports WeChat through a branded public chat link flow that opens in WeChat webview.
This approach is designed for fast deployment and smooth guest experience:
- Guests stay in WeChat context.
- Chat opens in a mobile-friendly interface.
- Human agents can handle conversations from the same ChatIQ workspace.
How It Works
- You configure a branded chat URL (for example,
www.yourdomain.com/chat). - That URL redirects to your ChatIQ public chat shell (for example,
https://hi.chatiq.io/...). - Guests open the link from WeChat and chat in a popup-style webview.
- Guests can close and re-open the link while remaining in WeChat context.
Recommended Setup
1) Use a branded domain path
Use a trust-building URL path such as:
www.myhotel.com/chat
2) Route to your ChatIQ shell
Point it to your public ChatIQ link:
https://hi.chatiq.io/your-chat-entry
3) Keep the link stable
Use one stable URL per brand/property so guests can return easily.
4) Prompt re-entry clearly
Train guests with a short line such as:
"For fastest support, open this link anytime: www.myhotel.com/chat"
Best Practices
- Show hotel/property branding in the chat header.
- Keep the first reply concise and action-oriented.
- Ask guests to bookmark/star the chat link in WeChat.
- Keep response times short for after-hours inquiries.
- Track this flow as a dedicated source in analytics.
